Introduction

I will start this blog by introducing our cats.

Sheba was a beautiful black cat that, sadly, is no longer with us.  We were told she was a Burmese cross.

Below, with a cobweb across her face – talking to me :O)
She used to hold long conversations with us (cat language obviously) and was very ‘regal’ We lost her at the age of 17 about a year after this photograph.

I’m posting this in memory of a much loved Sheba.

Next comes Livvie (Olivia) our 15 year old Burmese Red Point.  She has used up many of her lives doing crazy things – as cats do.  I’m sure she thought she was a dog.  She used to play ‘fetch’ with sticks – even a 3ft garden cane.  She would drop it on our feet and wait for us to throw it for her, bring it back, drop in on our feet again, and so on, until we got tired of playing and had to hide the stick until next time.

This is Livvie, who only drinks from a running tap.  A bit of a nuisance when you’re watching something gripping on the TV and she’s thirsty!

Mitzi was a kitten we rescued from a farm.  The owner said she didn’t want them and would not have them in doors.  She said they would probably freeze to death out on the farm so we were welcome to take any we wanted!  It was a very cold November.  Between us we saved all that we could find.  How can people be so cruel?  As you can see she settled in well.  She just stirred from her nap long enough to yawn, then promptly went back to sleep ;O)

I will blog about our latest addition next.

I hope you like our cats and visit my blog again, when I hope to have lots more ‘cat’ things for you.

Well I’m not happy with Chicken, our huge ginger three year old Tom who has just scratched the puppy’s eye and caused an ulcer. After an operation to the puppy’s eye we have been handed a £350 bill! Oh well, I shall forgive Chicken who is the biggest, soppiest boy in the world as he was here first!!! :0)

That’s the problem with mixing cats and dogs, especially a small dog. Always a danger of the dogs eyes getting hurt :O(

Oh, as a non cat owner I wish this had been for cats and dogs, our two darling Shih tzu are like huge cats really :O) I will visit and comment though.

Hello! Thank you for visiting our site! We like to make new friends. Sheba reminds us a lot of our black cat Salem, who passed away in 2005. Salem had been with us for almost 15 years and was very vocal like Sheba. She also liked to extend her claws whenever she was feeling happy. We miss her tremendously. All your cats are beauties! I’m glad that Livvie was able to find another true blue friend in Sukie. How does Mitzi get along with them?
